We're reading Josefina

"Josefina Montoya is a Hispanic girl whose heart and hopes are as big as the New Mexico sky. 1824"
Dear Josefina,
I would be a little scared of that mean goat too. I would be sad if my mommy passed away. I like the clothes that you wear. I like the flowers that you planted. You take good care of the flowers. The rebozos you wear are pretty.
Love, Josie

Josie- Her name is similar to yours! What a pretty name! You will have to keep writing about Josefina! It won't be long before that new sister of yours is here! We are all looking forward to meeting her and seeing you again!

You'll have to let me know how the book is.. this is one we have not read yet! She sure is a pretty girl with all of those flowers... it would be fun to dress up like her! Sarah dressed up like Kirsten Larson this week and had fun with that.
You girls have a good weekend!!!
thinking of you!
love,
